WASTED! Management and Prevention in Vermont 6pm - 8pm Chase Center Featuring Carolyn Grodinsky from the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, Tom Moreau from the Chittenden Solid Waste District, and Jessica Edgerly from the Toxics Action Center. The panel will be discussing anything and everything to do with the waste stream, including why, where, and how you should recycle, the effects of waste on climate change and the local economy, and current recycling action campaigns and how to wage effective campaigns to protect your community from toxics!

Bike for Breakfast 8am - 9am Hoff Lounge In order to promote alternative methods of transportation any members of the VLS community that use alternative transportation that day will receive a complementary breakfast.
Alternative Fuel Show 10am - 2pm Oakes Parking Lot Featuring bio-diesel and the newest model hybrid cars on display
Hydrogen-Powered Toyota Prius

Dr. Seuss' The Lorax 12pm - 2pm Chase Center Performance by the students of the Sharon Elementary School and VLS’s Environmental Education Group. Ice Cream will be served.

Youth Summit 10am - 4pm TBD Educating high school children on the importance of Environmental awareness
Fly Fishing Clinic/ BBQ TBD TBD Co-Sponsored with Sporting and Conservation Society. Professional instructors will come and teach you how to cast. All equipment will be provided. BBQ will follow.

Save the Ales Party and Recycled Fashion ("trashion")Show 8pm - 12pm Crossroads Bar & Grill Fashion Show featuring student designs made from recycled materials. Food and Beer will be served – Admission $5.

The Sustainable Living Fair 9am - 3pmChelsea Public School GymnasiumThe fair will encourage conservation and sustainable living practices to help reduce our carbon footprint at home, work and at school. At the fair, there will be displays, vendors, workshops, and films providing lots of affordable choices within the four categories of home, transportation, food and consumer products. It will be free and open to all, with door prizes, give-away, art projects, food and entertainment.
Ongoing Events Throughout Earth Week VLS Tree Group Table Monday, TuesdayChase Breezeway The Tree group will have cookies and information about the various types of trees on campus.
Bottled Water Challenge Table Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Chase Breezeway Information on the harms of bottle water. Plus taste testing between tab water and bottle water.
